Once the retreat of Napoleon's brother-in-law, the king of Naples, the Palace is now a private and very romantic hotel surrounded by amazing gardens. The restoration emphasizes the architectural structure of the 18th century along with the furnishing and objects which fill the Palace from that period.
There is an old and new part to this hotel and both parts are beautiful. Prestigious and charming the rooms located in the 18th century section the hotel have high ceilings, antique furniture and French doors that open onto small balconies with views of Positano's bay, although some of the third floor rooms in the new section benefit from the vista too. The remainder overlook the garden. The new rooms are predominantly white with one colour as an accent picked out in the moulded plaster head boards and tiled floors.
The restaurant offers the best of Mediterranean cuisine, impeccable service and warm hospitality. It is located in the midst of the lush foliage of the amazing botanic garden of rare tropical plants and surrounded by jasmine and bougainvillea that are so profuse that they spill over their enclosing wall onto the arbors. You may dine on the terrace or in the garden magically lit by candles and torches, beneath the palm trees with the scent of flowers on the breeze.
We suggest the Palace for sophisticated and private wedding receptions.
