This magnificent building, both hotel and national monument, stands in a large park in the Frascati hills north-east of Rome. Built in the 16th century as a noble residence it was for centuries the 'favourite meditative home of cardinals and popes'.
Four acres of beautiful park surrounded the hotel and expert gardeners have skillfully redesigned the Italian Garden. At sunset, on the horizon you can sea the sea sparkles with the shimmering reflection of the dying sun and on the other side Rome becomes alive with twinkling lights.
The interiors are truly impressive! There are halls with painted ceilings, a beautiful frescoed gallery, large, grand rooms for functions and you have the feeling of staying in ones own private art gallery.
The bedrooms have been furnished and decorated in line with the character of the building: wood, pottery and precious fabrics enrich the furniture, which has been chosen for its prestige, as well as for its elegant lines.
Wedding receptions are held indoor in the magnificent halls or in the 'hanging garden' where the view of St Peter's and Rome is memorable.
The restaurant Acquaviva provides impeccable service and a wonderful selection of Roman and Mediterranean cuisine.
