Villa Balbianello wedding is a dream made true!
A spectacular villa for unique wedding in Lake Como and the ultimate experience for a fairytale, luxury and romantic big day.
Standing high on a private peninsula covered by sylvan woods of pine, soaring cypress and oak with pollarded plane trees and manicured lawns and flowerbeds. Villa del Balbianello seems to virtually rise out of the water and it seems enchanted. The villa has a romantic landing stage from where a flight of steps leads up to the gardens and don't be surprised if the setting looks as familiar as it does cinematic: the intergalactic romance of Star Wars: Episode II was shot here.
It was built at the end of 1700 where there was a small Franciscan convent. Intended for the rest and relaxation of cardinals and Catholic clergy, the villa is composed of a loggia, terraces and tiny palaces, all spilling down verdant slopes to the lakeshore. now formed by two square constructions and a unique loggia with a wonderful view of the gulfs of "Venere" and "Diana".
If you plan an exclusive Villa del Balbianello wedding, one of the most scenic place to have the reception is the magic loggia that can host about 70 people. At the two sides of the loggia there are two lovely rooms: the Library and the Map rooms fitting 30 and 40 guests. But it is definitely possible to host larger groups with the use of marquees.
