Rome Wedding in Campidoglio!
It stands on Capitoline, one of the seven hills of Rome, where 3000 years ago Romans built the huge Temple of Jupiter, dedicated to the most revered God in the Roman pantheon. The hill, and the temple of Jupiter were the symbols of Rome as Caput Mundi, capital of the world.
During the middle ages, the site became the center of civic government and several palaces were built on the hill. The central building was Palazzo Senatorio. The name is derived fromt its function as seat of the Senate until 1870 when it became the seat of the City of Rome and the Mayor. The current design is a slightly adapted version of the 16th century design by Michelangelo.
The interior of the Palace is in Renaissance style and very sumptuous. The Marriage hall (known also as Red hall) is wonderfully decorated. Seated in regal, gold-trimmed red chairs, surrounded by thick marble columns, candle chandeliers and brocade, red satin walls you will look more likely to be pronounced king and queen than husband and wife!
Due to the high demand ceremonies are very brief (10 minutes about) and we don't suggest music or floral arrangements.
