Rome wedding planner - preliminary remarks

You may already be aware that there are certain restrictions and conditions regarding wedding ceremonies here in Italy. In Italy you cannot celebrate a Civil wedding in any given venue selected by you. Here, Civil weddings can only be held in the town Wedding Hall or in a venue designated by the local municipality for wedding ceremonies. We do have some very beautiful Wedding Halls here in Rome. This means you have the option of marrying in a Civil ceremony but in beautiful and exclusive typical Italian location.

If you wish to get married at your favorite private Roman locations (e.g. hotel, villa, castle) you may wish to consider a Protestant wedding legally binding; a Protestant wedding, in fact, can be celebrated at any private location and it has legal validity.

As the leading wedding planner in Rome we can support you in this kind of wedding too.

Rome wedding halls

In Rome the following three splendid venues are available for Civil weddings:

  • The sumptuous Campidoglio marriage hall, that stands on Capitoline hill.
  • The formerly church of Caracalla marriage hall, very spacious and suggestive.
  • The intimate Villa Lais marriage hall, with frescoed walls and antique furniture (Monday, Friday and Saturday)

Among the three, Campidoglio is the most renowned and elegant marriage hall; Caracalla is the most suggestive and Villa Lais the more intimate. The only concern about a civil wedding in Roma is that the wedding hall fees are pretty expansive and start at Euro 1,200.

As a possible alternative you could get married in a location nearby Rome. Near Rome, in fact, there are a few fantastic small medieval towns where you could celebrate a stunning civil service at a more convenient rate.
