Tuscan Wedding in a castle
It was an hot sunny day in Tuscany,
last July when Jenny and Tim got married in a fantastic
Medieval castle not far
from Siena.
Actually it was sunny until a couple of hours before the romantic ceremony took place. Then, suddenly, a gentle breeze
refreshed all party revealing large dark clouds at the horizon.
The clouds covered the sun and the sky while all audience was waiting for the bride and a lot of lighting appeared
at the horizon.
It was a special moment; I mean, you organize a fantastic
Tuscany wedding
in July with all your friends and family and the weather turns to rain? How can it be?
Actually the day before the wedding we set-up an elegant white marquee near the pool, but it was supposed to protect
from the sun not from the rain!
The bride eventually arrived in a splendid white gown and a simple and elegant calla lilies bouquet designed by
Carla and Silvia, our local flower designers in Siena. The attention of all guests moved to the
charming bridesmaids in their beautiful pearl dress and just after them the wonderful bride;
Nobody noted the few drops of rain that touched the ground. The ceremony proceed smoothly without
the heat of the Italian summer and eventually during the cocktail the sun appeared again behind the leaving clouds.
The cocktail aperitif was set-up in the Italian garden of the castle, in front of the main tower, where Elisabetta, one
of our top photographers, had the opportunity to shots hundreds of candid pictures to all party. At 7 pm the master of
ceremony invited all guests to enter the outdoor loggia of the castle for the wedding dinner; just a few minutes
for the last group pictures and then the party started with the delicius Tuscan meal followed by a
professional DJ set until late night.
