This is a magic place to stay and to organize your reception!
It is set on a private island in the centre of the Venetian lagoon and can be considered an untouched retreat, and an oasis of peace thanks to its four acres centuries-old park which offers views of Giudecca and San Marco, and still has the hilly conformation and the same types of vegetation as in the past - cypresses, elms, lindens, and nettle trees. Now, owing to the hotel's activity, it is an outdoor recreation area, accommodating the pool, the tennis courts, and a pitch and putt golf course with a little elliptical pond at its centre.
Built in the 12th century and become a monastery built in the 17th century, it has been recently restored to achieve a truly luxurious hotel preserving its ancient its ancient origins with frescos and impressive Renaissance facade, as well as marble, silk wall coverings, Murano chandeliers and voluminous curtains that abound in its spacious public spaces and airy corridors where sunlight streams in.
Three restaurants: an elegant one offering refined à la carte menu as well as a magnificent view of San Marco.
A more sober restaurant with a Venetian flair atmosphere. And an informal restaurant located near the swimming pool for a buffet reception or a cocktail.
Rooms are very beautiful, big, light and airy, with a pinch of originality, by the settings and lifestyles of doges, nobles, merchants and navigators, groups that dominated the life of the "Queen of the Adriatic" in the years of its greatest splendour. They are equipped with modern accessories which blend with precious fabrics, antique and sumptuous furniture, and elegant accessories.
