Weddings in Verbania Pallanza

In the north side of Lake Maggiore, Verbania is the most suggestive pearl of the Lake.

Weddings are celebrated either in the stunning Villa San Remigio with its enchanting gardens or in the beautiful town hall of Pallanza. Pallanza has ancient Romans origins and it takes up a beautiful panoramic position full of attractions. It hosts elegant palaces, an important artistic heritage and ancient churches, but it is probably best known in Italy for its magnificent gardens.

The most important ones are the "Gardens of Villa Taranto". They have been opening to the public since 1952 when the owner, the Scottish captain Neil Mc Eacharn, donated them to the Italian State. He bought the property from the Marchesa of Sant´Elia in 1931 and transformed it in a spectacular English garden guided by the objective to harmonize aesthetics and botanic canons. He called the gardens Villa Taranto in memory of one of his ancestor appointed by Napoleon as Duke of Taranto.

Not far from Villa Taranto on the top of the promontory located just above Pallanza, Villa San Remigio. This villa and its beautiful gardens have a wonderful view overlooking the lake and near the villa is located the most ancient church in Pallanza: the XII century Romanesque Church of San Remigio.

Verbania Pallanza is a fascinating destination for your Lake Maggiore wedding!
