You may already be aware that there are certain restrictions and conditions regarding wedding ceremonies here in Italy. In Italy you cannot celebrate a Civil wedding in any given venue selected by you. Here, Civil ceremonies can only be held in the Town Hall or in a venue designated by the local municipality for wedding ceremonies. We do have some very beautiful locations here in Rome. This means you have the option of marrying in a Civil ceremony but in a beautiful and exclusive typical Italian location.

If you wish to get married at your favorite private Roman locations (e.g. luxury hotel, villa, castle) you may wish to consider a non-denomination ceremony; this kind of ceremony, in fact, can be celebrated at any private locations and it has legal validity.

As the leading wedding planner in Rome, we can support you in this kind of event too.

Rome wedding venues

In Rome the following three splendid venues are available for Civil ceremonies:

  • The sumptuous Campidoglio marriage hall, that stands on Capitoline hill.
  • The former church of Caracalla marriage hall, very spacious and suggestive.
  • The intimate Villa Lais marriage hall, with frescoed walls and antique furniture (Monday, Friday and Saturday)

Among the three, Campidoglio is the most renowned and elegant marriage hall; Caracalla is the most suggestive and Villa Lais the more intimate.
