Here, Civil ceremonies can only be held in the Town Hall or in a venue designated by the local municipality for wedding ceremonies. We do have some very beautiful locations here in Rome. This means you have the option of marrying in a Civil ceremony but in a beautiful and exclusive typical Italian location.
If you wish to get married at your favorite private Roman locations (e.g. luxury hotel, villa, castle) you may wish to consider a non-denomination ceremony; this kind of ceremony, in fact, can be celebrated at any private locations and it has legal validity.

Among the three, Campidoglio is the most renowned and elegant marriage hall; Caracalla is the most suggestive and Villa Lais the more intimate.
