Villa Cipressi consists of a complex of gardens and buildings built between 1400 and 1800.
After being owned by prestigious families, the villa was bought in 1980 by the Municipality of Varenna and is now being run as a 4-star hotel with lovely rooms and suites.

The botanical park with stairways and terraces leading down to the lake is awesome. The lowest terrace right on the water’s edge is the most secluded area for a civil wedding or for a symbolic or protestant blessing. The vine covered pergola of the top terrace is the ideal spot for a wedding dinner. The third terrace has a partial view of the lake, but it is equally beautiful and usually used for the wedding aperitif.
